English Acquisition Games
There are so many wonderful ways to include games into teaching. Some of the best games are the simplest! These games can be used at any age, and provide a wonderful low risk way to practice key vocabulary words.
Heads Talk Tails Walk
This fun matching game can be differentiated for any age. Students have fun moving and making animal sounds as well as practicing key vocabulary with body parts and animals.
Bilingual Vocabulary Bingo
This game is an oldie, but a goodie! One of my favorite versions of this game is giving the students clues about the bingo card. Students can practice identifying features of each noun with describing words.
Orchard
This is one of the simplest low risk games that even the youngest students can enjoy! Students practice matching colors to fruits, while racing to beat the crow to all of the fruits.
